This course is 10 sessions each lasting 3 hours.
If you are a normal high-school graduate and you have basic study skills this course will require one hour preparation for every hour of time. In your first week, please document all the time you spent, and that will indicate whether you are above average faster or below average and in more time.
If you have poor study skills, this course will walk you through the basics of how to build those skills for a career in cyber security so that you are not just learning how to take exams and certifications. Security plus certification can be the foundational skills that make all other future certifications and training much easier. Follow the plan.
By design you will NOT get most of the answers right. You are learning. Your instructors goal is to expose what you do not know. Do not be frustrated by getting
something wrong. Build good notecards in class to determine to what more
information you need to fill up on from the material and from your extra
readings.
You must prepare before class by doing the following:
- All assigned readings
- Building handwritten notecards
- Pre-class quiz
In class you must:
- Turn on audio and video at all times
- Do all activities of class
